Terms of Service

These terms are a starting template and should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using PhDWrites (the "Platform", operated via phdwrites.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. One person may act as both a client and a writer using a single account.

3. Payments and funds

Clients pay the agreed contract amount to PhDWrites. Funds are held operationally by the Platform and released to the writer (less the platform fee) once the work is delivered and accepted, or auto-accepted after the stated period of client inactivity. PhDWrites is not a bank and does not provide regulated escrow services.

4. Platform fee

PhDWrites charges a platform fee, deducted from the contract amount before the writer is paid. The applicable fee is fixed at the time each contract is created.

5. Conduct and off-platform activity

You agree not to circumvent the Platform by arranging payment or work outside of it, to provide accurate information, and not to upload unlawful, infringing or malicious content. Uploaded files are scanned before they can be downloaded.

6. Revisions, disputes and refunds

Clients may request revisions up to the agreed limit. Disputes are handled according to Platform policy, and outcomes may include full or partial refunds or release of funds.

7. Limitation of liability

The Platform is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, PhDWrites is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Platform.
